Please note that there will be a BIOS update on the RP7, Model 7800, effective Dec 16, 2013, to add support for Windows 8.1 and implement other changes mentioned below. The version BIOS version number will be entered on the Product Change Notification (PCN) once the GBU receives this from the BIOS team.

Effective December 16, 2013, HP is providing a System BIOS update for the HP RP7 Retail System Model 7800.
HP System BIOS v2.8x contains the following enhancements:
· Adds support for Windows 8.1
· Optimizes memory settings to improve the reliability of the memory system
· Improves reliability of the ROM firmware image
· Adds update to improve recovery from failing hard drive in RAID configuration

IMPACT OF CHANGE
· Effective December 16, 2013, the HP RP7 Retail System Model 7800 will begin shipping with the new indicated System BIOS version. HP strongly recommends updating any existing HP RP7 Retail System Model 7800 to the upgraded System BIOS.
· HP System BIOS v2.8x may be obtained from the Support and Driver pages for the HP RP7 Retail System Model 7800 on HP.COM.
